How to handle the Needs an answer list
In short
Needs an answer, on the club console Dashboard, lists everything across the club that is waiting on the desk, the most urgent kind first. Each row has its own buttons: More time, Score or walkover, Add the time, Accept or Decline, Check the score, Nudge them. Withdrawing a pair is on the league's People tab.
The list, kind by kind
Open the Dashboard. The first three of each kind show, and Show all opens the rest.
- Overdue matches: past the deadline with no result. More time opens the deadline: pick a New deadline and press Change the deadline. It applies to every match in that matchday. Score or walkover opens the match to settle it.
- No time agreed yet: Add the time once you know it. All four players are told.
- Extension requests: a pair asked for more time on their match. Accept gives it, Decline keeps the date. They are told either way.
- Scores to confirm: Check the score.
- Partner requests: someone in a fixed teams league needs a partner. Open it and put someone in.
- Entry fees unpaid: Nudge them sends every unpaid player in that league one notification. See who opens the People tab, where you mark anybody paid.
A disputed score
A score one pair put in and the other has not signed off shows on the league's Fixtures tab under Waiting to be signed off.
- Confirm it puts the score on the table as it stands.
- Send it back wipes it, and whoever played can enter it again.
- Or open the match, type the right score and press Save the score. A set level at 6-6 opens a tie break box, the same as in the app.
A walkover, or a match that will never be played
Open the match (from Score or walkover, or on the Fixtures tab). Under If it never gets played:
- Press the button for the pair that should get the win. A walkover counts as a real win and is marked so nobody thinks it was played.
- Press Write it off to count it for neither side. Put it back on undoes it.
If the match is played after all, a real score put in over a walkover replaces it.
Withdraw a player or pair
For someone who has played and cannot carry on. Withdrawing is for an owner.
- Open the league's People tab and tap the person.
- Under If they drop out, press Withdraw and the pair's name.
- Add a reason if you want. It goes on the league feed.
- Press Withdraw from the league.
Every result they played stands. Their remaining matches go to whoever they were due to play, marked as walkovers. Removing a name altogether is for somebody who signed up and never played, and it cannot be undone.
Still stuck?
Email hello@padeliga.co.uk with the league name and what you were trying to do. A person will reply. For anything about one league, whoever runs it can often help fastest.
Questions
How often should staff check Needs an answer?
Once or twice a week is usually enough. The app does most of the chasing itself: whose turn it is to sort a time, scores to confirm, and matches past their deadline.
Does More time move one match or the whole matchday?
From an overdue match, More time changes the deadline for every match in that matchday. Accepting an extension request moves only that pair's match.
Can a manager withdraw a pair?
No. Withdrawing hands real wins to other pairs, so an owner does it.
Are players told what we decide?
Yes. A pair who asked for more time are told either way, and a walkover or a new deadline shows in the app.
